Tom arrives at the farm and begins his frantic search for Jess and Tony. He instantly becomes distraught when he cannot find them anywhere and his mind immediately goes to the worst case scenario. Tom takes out his anger and sadness by screaming and throwing furniture around. Little does he know that Jess and Tony are right below him and can hear all this commotion , but they are also unaware of the good news since they have been hiding in the underground tunnel, so they are terrified as they think all the commotion above is from an attack. Suddenly Jess hears her father’s voice and realizes it is him, she leaps up and runs out of the underground tunnel to her father. Tom and Jess leap into eachothers arms and embrace through tears of pure happiness. Tom swears in that very moment that his goal is to invent a way for the world to communicate instantly, as he never wants to experience the fear he felt due to not being able to communicate.
